NUTRITIONAL RESILIENCE
Of course good health always starts with a great diet supported by significant amounts of organic fruits and vegetables of all colors. It does not include fast foods or any of the sugary carbonated drinks sold at such places. Basically, the more processed a food is, the more artificial ingredients it may have and the less nutrition it usually supplies. But as EMF exposure increases, you may need more than just a basic good diet to stay healthy.

The effects of constant radiation exposure from cell phones and their towers, WiFi routers and all the rest, can be minimized with some specific supplements and other compounds. These recommendations come from Dietrich Klinghardt MD PhD. (Integrative physician and founder of the Klinghardt Institute and Klinghardt education in the UK, founder and chairman of the Institute for Neurobiology in Germany, the American Association of Neuropathy, and lead clinician at the Sophia Health Institute located in Woodinville, Washington) He has years of experience treating people for chronic conditions associated with EMF exposure, and has clinical proof of the effectiveness of these suggestions.
It is strongly recommended that you seek out an integrative physician that is also knowledgeable about EMF radiation effects if you have significant problems. People with significant toxic compounds in their body can experience uncomfortable or even health crisis situations with rapid detox regimes.
Melatonin - If you take only one supplement to protect yourself - start with this!
As discussed in the biological effects page on this website, one of the most serious consequences of exposure to wireless radiation is the creation in the cells of the oxidant peroxynitrite. Melatonin is one of the best scavengers to eliminate peroxynitirite and protect mitochondria - the source of our energy.(1,2) Melatonin is synthesized by the pineal gland and sent to the bloodstream. The primary purpose of Melatonin is to regulate the rhythm of waking and sleeping hours through the gland’s sensitivity to sunlight and color. It also has a role in regulating blood pressure. Through interaction with the pituitary gland it regulates levels of reproductive hormones.
Its activity increases with meditation, and a healthy Pineal gland may help create a sense of euphoria, happiness, and connection to the external world. When it does not function as designed, many physical and mental health problems can develop. Lack of good sleep reduces your mental performance and makes you prone to disease. Enough damage and it may sever your connection to the natural world and other people. You may begin to make bad decisions and are more prone to manipulation of your thoughts by media.

As mankind moved from an agrarian lifestyle into cities, and with the invention of electric lighting, the natural solar rhythms of the Pineal were affected. Melatonin production at night is enhanced by bright mid-day sunlight exposure, and reduced by artificial lighting (typical indoor lights, TV, and laptop screens) after dusk, so the modern lifestyle has reduced the anti-oxidant protection we get from melatonin.
It is clear that electromagnetic radiation damages our bodies at the cellular level based on many independent studies, some cited in other locations on this website. Proper levels of melatonin have been shown to protect our cells from this damage.(3,4). But the Pineal Gland is sensitive to magnetic fields and also to high frequency electromagnetic radiation, apparently sensing it as sunlight, and causing melatonin production to fall. So such radiation not only damages the body, it damages the body’s best natural protection from that radiation. Melatonin also acts to repair mitochondria that are damaged by cellphone and WiFi radiation.(5)
The fluoride from modern municipal water systems accumulates in the Pineal gland and creates phosphates that lead to what is termed calcification of the gland, which greatly diminishes its vital functions. Fluoride has also been found to decrease human intelligence in over 50 studies, and there is no clear evidence that it actually reduces cavities – so using well water or reverse osmosis water for drinking and cooking and using toothpaste with no fluoride is a good idea to maintain a well functioning Pineal.
Probably the worst thing a person could do is spend the last hour before sleeping using a WiFi connected laptop on their lap. You are exposed to bright light of the wrong color, magnetic fields and biologically damaging high frequency electromagnetic radiation. All of these will diminish your melatonin production and cause you to wake up feeling like you had no rest, and lead to much worse problems over time.
With all these things working against having healthy levels of Melatonin, supplementing is very important. Supplementing with the highest grade of Melatonin you can find is the fastest way to get vital Melatonin levels up in your body. Dr. Klinghardt recommends the Liposomal Melatonin Phospholipid as sold by BioPure as a good self-administered supplement.
Once you have brought your Melatonin levels up with supplementation, you need to continue protecting, and detoxing the Pineal gland for long term health. You can find many websites that offer detox programs for the Pineal gland. I consider this one to have honest and well researched information:

Brazilian Green Propolis
Propolis is composed of plant resins that bees gather and then add some of their wax and pollen to it. Brazilian Green Propolis comes from bees that gather from a medical plant called Baccharis dracunculifolia, that is known for its antiulcer and anti-inflammatory properties. The components in Brazilian Green Propolis help to activate the pineal gland and provide excellent radiation protection.
Research done by by Natalia S.S. Guimarães et at, published in Nov 2011, found that Baccharis dracunculifolia, the plant basis of green propolis, exhibits potent antioxidant activity and helps prevent oxidative mitochondrial damage. Studies have found green propolis to have a diverse range of benefits, including treatment of macular degeneration and UV skin damage. It has shown anti-tumor effects, and the ability to improve liver metabolism and boost immunity.

Brazilian Green Propolis is available from many sources. Biopure sells a blend with 55% organic ethanol at $40 for a one-ounce bottle. The extract from some suppliers could require careful handling. It could actually be dangerous to take it directly from the dropper. It is very sticky – would stick to a spoon, a glass, to your teeth, or stick in your throat. The easiest way to take it is to put a dropper full into a tablespoon of honey in a spoon, and swallow carefully.
Cistus Incanus
Cistus incanus (Ci) is also called the Mediterranian Rockrose. It grows in Italy, Greece and Turkey and also in Sardinia. The wild harvested Sardinian Ci, grows in the purest natural habitat, and is thought to have the best properties for whole body healing. The plant lives a very hard life. It survives the extended droughts (more than a year with no rain), getting moisture from the salty ocean air. Perhaps the compounds it uses to protect itself also benefit humans. Ci contains polyphenols, proanthocyanadins, bioflavonoids, catechins, gallic acid, rutin and many other beneficial bioactive compounds.

Dr. Klinghardt has been on the trail of the root cause of neurological chronic illnesses for decades - Alzheimers, autism, ADHD and behavior problems in children, and chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, MS, ALS, and Parkinsons. In the 1980’s the underlying cause was thought to be Candida and molds. In the 90’s they looked deeper for the breakdown of the immune system and decided Herpes or Epstein Barr virus was the answer. In the last decade Lyme disease was found to be at a deeper level and it was thought that treating that would stop all the other infections. But over time, that approach became less successful.
Today brave doctors are coming forward with the claim that what medical science has called "virus" are actually exosomes, and they do not come from the environment, but are the result of individual cell's reaction to stress factors which come in many forms. THe future will solve this debate, but for now Cistus tea is known to have very favorable effects on the symptoms of this group of mysterious diseases.
Dr. Klinghardt calls the tea made from the leaves, flowers and stems of the plant “the least invasive yet most effective treatment for Lyme disease and many other modern chronic illnesses, caused by persistent and hidden infections.” And he has found that its use can help stop chronic neurological disease. Since he believes this group of symptoms is associated with EMF exposure, this tea becomes an important part of building your resilience in addition to all of its other apparent benefits.

I have brewed Cistus Incanus from a couple vendors, and found some diffferences. The leaves from BioPure seem to have the purest boquet to me, and arrive possibly more fresh. The color of the tea is also darker from equal amounts. The label says it contains two varities; C. Icanus and also C. Albidus. C. Incanus is actually a hybrid of C. Albidus and C. Crispus. BioPure says thier product is wild harvested on the island of Sardinia, severly limiting the volume they can sell. If you buy just one tin the cost is over $150/pound! ($25 plus shipping for 100 grams) There are much cheaper vendors.

The following studies have identified some of the benefits of this tea.

Brewing the tea starts with bringing it to a brief boil in pure water, then simmering for 5 minutes while covered to avoid the escape of volatile oils, then cooling. The most complete use involves re-brewing the same leaves one or two more times because other polyphenols and plant adaptogens are extracted by additional brewing. You could do this and put the complete mixture in one large jug.
In treating Lyme disease, whole leaf stevia is added to the tea. Whole leaf Stevia has been shown in a study by Northwest University in the US to be as effective or more effective in the treatment of Lyme disease than triple antibiotic therapy, including the use of Daptomycin.

People who are seriously ill with Lyme disease and all the underlying infections may only be able to tolerate tablespoons of the tea at first. A strong curative effect for most people is found with 4 to 6 cups a day. It is now the best-known way to reduce or eliminate the pathogen load in your body that is aggravated by our constant exposure to man-made EMFs.
