Stonesthrow was  Bruce's family home, built in 1999 and entered in the Solar Home Tour.  As a result, the Raleigh N&O did a front page story in the Home and Garden section calling Bruce "A New Light in Solar Construction." The house was ~4200sf with living space on four levels.  The two story home had a walk-out partial basement and stairs from a second story loft to a finished attic used as a second family room.

 

As seen in the photo below, the east side of the house had windows on all four levels.  The house also had a detached third garage and was located on five acres of mostly wooded land in Fox Hill Farms.
